Hello Lex! He’s just over 4 weeks old today. Yes – he’s cute! Drew and I get to bring him home on May 28. We’ve started to get all the dog things to help prepare. I don’t think that will be enough to help us prepare for what is about to happen to our home.
It’s amazing how many pictures and videos of these puppies we’ve seen. Thanks to our Breeder at Raynen Boxers for being so amazing, so focused on health, so attentive to different stimulation, and just being an amazing person. It’s like we’ve gotten to know Lex over these four some weeks and having him join our home will just be so natural and as if we’ve been with him all this time.
I’ve had two puppies in my adult life that had grown up, been loved, and then left all too soon. It’s been many years break for me with a dog because of travel for work. Now that I’m focusing on staying home (quite literally thru the pandemic here…) – it’s a perfect time to add Lex. Drew has grown up with hunting dogs – but is looking forward to a good couch cuddler and going cross-country skiing with Lex. I get to pick up obedience and agility training again! Hopefully we are good enough to hit some show and win to ribbons or trophies. Camping trips will be a lot more fun. Road trips for bike races and exploring the world will be a lot more entertaining. Having a furry four legged guy to welcome guests again into our home as the pandemic eases will just be amazing.
